Dr. Jill Plevinsky is a pediatric solid organ transplant psychologist in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rosalind Franklin Unviersity of Medicine and Science after completing her predoctoral residency in pediatric psychology at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Prior to starting her career at CHOP, Dr. Plevinsky completed a NICHD T32 postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric adherence and self-management at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Plevinsky has published 29 peer-reviewed manuscripts (12 of which are first-author), two first-author chapters on 1) adherence and self-management and 2) psychological aspects of pediatric inflammatory bowel diseases, and a recent role as guest editor of a special issue of Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology on pediatric adherence and self-management. She is active in leadership roles in the Society of Pediatric Psychology and a member of IPTA and SPLIT, including founding the recently established SPLIT Psychology Subcommittee.
